What do my parents watch?
My mom watches mostly the local news and courtroom shows on local TV channels and The Real Housewives of (Insert Location Here) on Bravo and In The Kitchen with David on QVC.
My dad watches shows like The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and many other things.
So, What do your parents watch?

Dad liked

* Indy 500 race
* Superbowl (but pretty much no other sports except college boxing)
Dad hated M.A.S.H. Don't really remember him watching much TV.
Mom liked Wheel of Fortune. Couldn't stay away much after 7p. Morning person.
They mostly read books and periodicals.

My mom mostly watched Christian stations.
My dad and step-mom watch The Walking Dead. They used to watch Game of Thrones, but I don't know if they still do that. Outside of those two (or three, considering Fear of the Walking Dead), I don't know. I know they're watching the World Series together, but I think that mostly has to do with my dad being from Kansas City and a huge Royals fan. I guess they also like to watch the Miami Heat play, considering that's my step-mom's favorite sports team.

I would assume it is "The Afterlife".
They have been dead for a long time. They would watch things like Lawrence Welk when they were still living.
Use whatever OS or desktop works for you. Dual boot or use VMs if you want. Backup your computer regularly, and definitely before upgrading, partitioning, or installing an OS.

I am the parent, and I watch anime, live sports (Pats/Dolphins tonight; hope it is as good as last Sunday's game against the Jets), and the occasional movie from Netflix or On-Demand. Sometimes I play video games; I'm working through the Deep Roads add-on to Dragon Age Inquisition at the moment.
My parents' favorite show back in the day might have been All in the Family. My father found Archie amusing though they shared some similarities. My mother liked Looney Tunes as well. Later in life we watched a hour-long reprise of Roadrunner cartoons, and she laughed her head off throughout.

My parents both passed away many years ago too, but I have fond memories of watching the shows Mission:IMPOSSIBLE, Wild Wild West, Secret Agent Man (the British Danger Man show), and others, with my Dad. My mom was not a big tv watcher.
