i asked about this in the desktop area and no one has offered anything, so i thought i would try here. a new install of 14.04 will not save kde dual monitor settings across a reboot. it always boots up with a single monitor on dvi-1, dvi-0 is disabled. enable the other monitor and everything works.

some details that i thought would be helpful are below. should i need to supply something else, please let me know.

does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? thanks.
