    Default Sound Communication device

Hey, I have been trying to figure out how to get a default sound communication device as in Windows for applications such as Skype where the call audio will go to the headset whereas the rest of the sound for the PC will still come out of the speakers.

I have currently got a standard Line Out for the Speakers and a USB Soundcard for the headset, Ubuntu does not provide a way of setting the default communications device and will only let me select one output in the Sound manager. I'm running Ubuntu 15.04 with all the latest updates and any help would be appreciated thanks

You need to install the Pulseaudio Volume Control (pavucontrol) utility to do that.
