    Display glitching after login

So I recently installed Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and wanted to change the look. I tried to install the ElementaryOS Desktop Environment (Pantheon) but I don't know what happened. I never got the ubuntu icon on the login screen to be able to change, so I think Pantheon and Unity "merged" if that's possible. Immediately after logging in, my display goes crazy. Sometimes it goes fully green, zoomed in and stutters, sometimes it just adds a, I don't know how to explain it, glitch effect. And I think it's due to ElementaryOS not installing correctly. But these pictures will explain:

Find attached a screenshot of the error I get upon reboot after the glitched screen

I've been trying to uninstall the ElementaryOS desktop environment but no matter what I do it's still there.

Anyone know what I can do?

    Thanks

Welcome to the forums. I have attached your large image. Please use 'Go Advanced' and the paperclip icon for attaching large images. Thanks.

More detail, please. How did you go about installing Pantheon? If you have a how to you followed, providing a link would be good, as would telling us where you got to with the install.

In the meantime, this might help, might not. Also, in the Sessions menu at the login screen, have you got and option to choose Unity and NOT Pantheon?

Thanks for attaching the image. You forgot this one though: https://goo.gl/jJYoG8

Sorry, I will edit with a link to what I used. I used this link originally (The first answer), then that wasn't working because I wasn't getting the Ubuntu icon on the login screen, which answers your last question, I don't even get a sessions menu at the login screen. Because that wasn't working, I followed this video.

    Thanks
