I need to create floor plans in Ubuntu

Can anyone recommend a package, free or not, that i can use to create floor plans. I run the latest Ubuntu o/s so needs to be compatible. Is there even anything available?

There is Sweet Home 3D, which is a Java application. I would use the link, and not necessarily go to SourceForge directly.

I suggest either inkscape, or perhaps dia. I have used inkscape for floorplans and cabinet plans. The ability to put things in layers and switch layers on and off is very handy. I have heard of dia but not tried it.

I haven't use Dia in a while, but when I used it before it was pretty good, though no Visio,

I just installed it and it might do, but I don't see diagrams for any furniture or the like. It does handle some features but pretty basic.
