USB Flash Drive will not auto mount unless AC power applied

I am attempting to access my USB memmry stick, but, Ubuntu will not auto mount the USB stick on battery power. I have to plug in to the AC adapter.

I am running Vivid on a Latitude D531. I have another USB stick that works just fine while the computer is on battery power.

Any thoughts?

Hi

Assuming you have backed up everything off it and tried it in other devices/usb ports with the same result, throw it away - they are fairly cheap.
