    My son told me that in order to get true 4k on his monitor he would have to have another GeForce GTX 780 ti card and run them in SLI mode.

    He also only has windows 8.1 which uses directx 11. Windows 10 will have directx 12. I don't believe there is a way to use that on Ubuntu. But, I'm not a gamer.

    Quick answer: DX12 is Windows 10 only. The Linux equivalent will be "Vulkan", which was only launched a few weeks ago.
