SATA and worty

Can anyone tell me how to install 4.10 on an MSI system with SATA harddisk drives?
I have to learn the how-to's

Can you give us a little more info? What is the chipset for your on-board SATA controller...Intel ICH5, NForce? What is your drive configuartion...any PATA drives, how many SATA drives? Are you dual-booting or just using Ubuntu?

On my Abit board with the Intel ICH5 controller, the SATA ports are picked up by the kernel. So installing to an SATA drive is no different than installing to a PATA hard drive.
