ePSXe won't let me configure plugins

Title says it all;

I run ePSXe, get everything set up.

But when I go to configure my video plugin, it never works, I'm just clicking a button that does nothing, basically.

Usually a separate window pops up and I can change the settings, but it won't work for the Linux version.

Tried actually running ePSXe, and it immediately crashes once I load an Iso.
