How to allocate more ram to a single Application?

Ive downloaded and installed Strife MOBA that supports Linux, but with my old laptop it lags a bit too much for my comfort I wanted to know how to could use the terminal or a Gui app to allocate more RAM to this application before playing so it moves more smoothly.

RAM most likely isn't the problem.
If your system has enough ram to allocate to the game, then the game will get the ram, without the need for user interference.

The more likely cause of slow laggy game play would be the cpu and the gpu.
What are the specs for the machine?
Primarily, the specs for the cpu and the gpu.(the graphics card)
