    Switching the ISP in Firefox?

I use a vpn. What it does is show a generic ISP that I am sure can be associated with the VPN service. I feel that makes my browser too unique. Is there a way to manually change the ISP to something very common?

Re: Switching the ISP in Firefox?

The exit IP (your house, work, or VPN) is what people use to determine which network provider you are on. Seems you may have confused the "ISP" term with something else?

The only way to change what people think is your ISP is by changing the public IP where your traffic exits. Only a VPN or TOR can do that, but those are well-known exit points and won't fool anyone but noobs in networking. Sorry.
