Classic Screen Dimming After 10 Minutes REVISTED

Hello! I am very new to Ubuntu 14.04, and have had a minor difficulty with my screen dimming out completely after approimately 10 minutes of idle. I read up on some other posts, but was not able to follow because of the terminology used. I could really use a hand with this issue if possible!

    Distributor ID: Ubuntu
    Description: Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS
    Release: 14.04
    Codename: trusty

In the top right corner of your screen there should be a little "cog wheel" icon. Click that and the third option is "System Settings".
In System Settings choose Brightness and Lock then uncheck "Dim screen to save power" and set "Turn off screen..." to Never.

You might also want to look at the Power settings that are found in the System settings panel. I set mine like this:
    When plugged in
    Don't suspend
    Do nothing

    On battery power
    Don't suspend
    Power off
    Suspend

You can also get to the System Settings panel (or any thing else) by opening the Dash.
Press the Windows key (also known as the Super key) and start typing the letters s y s, you should then see it's icon appear.
    Happy Ubuntuing
