Get a newer version of systemd in Ubuntu 14.10

    Hi,

I'm trying to get a software package to compile that depends on systemd >= 213. Is there any way to upgrade to a newer version of systemd in Ubuntu 14.10?

    Thanks!

Not 14.10, unless you look for a PPA.

Systemd 218 is in Vivid (15.04). One safe way is to install the pre-release version of Ubuntu...perhaps in a container or VM...to get what you need.

    Ok, thanks.

I guess I will do some research on whether 15.4 is actually stable enough for my needs. As an alternative - is there a PPA for Systemd that would fit my needs?
