I am running Ubuntu on a chromebook. I downloaded VLC initially from the terminal and then from software center. Everything works great except for two problems:
1) if you pause and hit play again. The audio captures a 3 second clip and keeps looping it while the video continues normally.
2) if you skip to the middle of the video it does the same thing, or just continues playing the video without sound.
Ive tried multiple things:

  • uninstalled and reinstalled VLC multiple times.
  • Changed audio output mode to ALSA output module to the chromium OS audio server.

if you never hit pause and never want to skip, everything works great.
anyone experiencing this?

DOES ANYONE KNOW OF A GOOD PLAYER IN THE MEAN TIME?

Thanks a lot
