Since bq and Meizu are making Ubuntu Phones. Are there any other smartphone manufacturers that would be great to make an Ubuntu Phone? I think that Samsung should make one. Possibly in the GALAXY line. What do you think?
I have a Galaxy S3 and it is a nice phone. But Samsung wants to own their software eco-system--pushing their crappy apps onto the phone--without notification. So I would think that Ubuntu would compete with that in software and that would be a problem. The combination of a Galaxy running Ubuntu would be sweet, but I doubt Samsung has enough forward-thinking to pursue it.

I would like to see an ASUS or HTC. Both companies offer devices with different OS's (Android and Windows currently) so maybe they will support one more

I have both an S3 and S4 and although I like Android I'm finding that Samsung's own apps are making me look towards alternatives. Unless you "root" the phone many apps cannot be deleted. In time a Galaxy S3, S4 or an S5 running Ubuntu would be an unbeatable combination.
I am not fond of Apple, but keep supporting them with MY money because others' software can be irritating (sometimes for no reason). Let's take an example. I install Dropbox on my iPad and my Android Moto G phone. Sync both with my main desktop. Let's say I want to show some pictures taken during my last vacation to my family, the Pad works without problem, but the phone barks if I have no connection. What the heck is synchronization for then ? Programmers, please use your programs before putting them into production.
has anybody managed to instal ubuntu on an iphone. yah true a smamsung phone with ubunutu will be a good phone, the best of both worlds
