Can someone tell how to make the file name does not show full when you highlight with the mouse or select a file. Because the full name hides other files/folders. Possible, for example, leave a certain amount of characters or somehow change the situation?

A setting to not show full file name on mouse-over or when selecting? Don't see one & can't imagine why it would be needed..

edit:use list view, it'll ellipses on long names all the time

I often save html-page to the archive, they are with long names, and all the files difficult to rename. There are names films that are too long. "Icon View" familiar to me, and convenient form for many catalogs, except for documents. So the question is valid - it can be adjusted? For example, Dolphin reserves space for long names.
p.s. I have not found in the context menu to demolish a long name ... I do not understand what you mean?
