digikam - logical operations with tags

I am looking to migrate away from f-spot as my photo management tool.

Of the alternatives I have researched digikam comes closest to proving what I need - at least in can utilise my existing Tags on which I spent so much effort.

However I cannot see a way to provide the AND search operator included with f-spot (I want photos with both Jack and Jill together).

Neither can I find an equivalent to the f-spot EXCLUDE operator (eg I want Jack but not Jill).

    1. Are these or similar logical operators definitely not possible - or are they embedded into an add-in somewhere?

    2. Alternatively is there another application I have missed that does provide these operators?

Appreciative of any guidance, my thanks.

Update, I found the AND function. It's within the Tool Icon located under the Tags Filter on the left sidebar (next to the "Images without tags" checkbox).

There must be an Exclude (NOT) operator somewhere?

Update 2, I found the NOT operator.

Right click on a Tag inside the right hand tag filter panel and choose the Tag Filter Mode.
