Had to buy a new laptop due to a major crash. So I am busy reinstalling most basic software, however Java seems to have problems in ubuntu 14.10.
As far as I have read the problem seems to be in the deb file of icedtea-netx. However I tried all possible workarounds I could find and it still does not seem to work.
(keep in mind that I work from an Asus X450L, with ubuntu 14.10 installed)
The errors that keep coming up are:

E: icedtea-netx: 96.2162:subprocess installed post-installation script returned error exit status 2 E: icedtea-7-plugin: 96.2162:dependency problems - leaving unconfigured E: icedtea-plugin: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

I tried to get help from a friend by trying to install teamviewer, however this also results in some errors. (it took 10 screendumps to catalog this, which is why I do not post it at this time.)

I am however confused as to what I can do to resolve the Java/Icedtea problem.
