Sound not working. Card not recognized.

    Hi

After spending the whole day reading in forums, I give up, I can not find the solution. I am not an expert in Linux but I don't know what else to try.

I have ubuntu 14.04 LTS in my Toshiba Portege Z830. When I installed ubuntu everything was working. Then today I installed Lightworks and KDenLive to make some video edition. I tried both, but only adding videos. Later, I created a new video exporting my project with Lightworks and after that the issues came. My sound wasn't working anymore. I uninstall Lightworks using the Ubuntu software center.

I uninstall alsa and pulse so many times and never work. Even though, what happen when I do that is that my System settings disappear and I have to install them again.

I DO NOT want to install ubuntu from scratch again. I reinstall the kernel:
ii linux-image-3.13.0-43-generic 3.13.0-43.72 amd64 Linux kernel image for version 3.13.0 on 64 bit x86 SMP
    with:
    sudo apt-get install --reinstall linux-image-3.X.Y-ZZ-generic

    Code:
     sudo lshw -C multimedia
      *-multimedia UNCLAIMED

    Code:

Alsamixer is not working either. Even with the alsa-utils and tools installed. "cannot open mixer: No such file or directory"

I am having similar issues to this topic but I can not solve it and I don't get anything if I run "sudo aplay -l"

I have tried this too but I always have the Dummy Output

Re: Sound not working. Card not recognized.

What happens when you try to manually load the module?
    Code:
    sudo modprobe -v snd-hda-intel
You also may want to try reinstalling (latest) driver/module: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/UpgradingAlsa/DKMS

And working!! You saved my life!

Last time, I tried with the step 3 on https://help.ubuntu.com/community/So...otingProcedure, but I got an error with the repository, this time I download the package from that website and it worked perfectly.

    Thank you very much
