Exclamation menulibre app does not show apps in categories.

    Hi! every body.

I installed peppermint 5 (which is basically lubuntu 14.04) in a toshiba satellite A505. I installed from synaptic menulibre and obmenu. Menulibre does not show the apps in the menu editor, and i run ob menu in terminal and it says:

error: Couldn`t find default menu file.

Is there a way to tell peppermint 5 to regenerate my default menu file, so I can use menulibre to edit the apps menu.

I know that lxmenu-data, lxpanel, and menu work together to generate the apps menu in lubuntu. Now, I know a little more than basic lubuntu, but can you describe the steps to the regeneration of the menu, in a novice way please.

    Thank you in advance

Hi, I'm pretty sure there are significant functional differences between peppermint and lubuntu and that peppermint is not just a rebranding exercise.

I found this link to the peppermint forum: http://forum.peppermintos.com/

I think the help you'll get there will be more specific to your situation. For one, menulibre isn't part of lubuntu (the official flavor). So I'm not sure how it interacts with the rest of the system. Which is why I'm suggesting you ask at the forum setup by the creators of peppermint.

Edit: I see you've already done so: http://forum.peppermintos.com/index....&action=recent

    Hi! Vasa1

Thanks for the fast response. Yes, I'm trying the peppermint forum too. I thought, I can get a fix on this site too. But thanks for your time and information, my friend.

    Linuxbeliever.
