For me material design is creating steel with new properties that will be better for a certain task. But I'm prejudiced from a long career in steel research
Wow ...Huh ?Yet the flexibility of the material creates new affordances that supercede those in the physical world, without breaking the rules of physics.
Wonder if trying to comprehend that sort of stuff can damage your brain. Feels a bit like it after reading only that far.
