    transcoding videos, 14.10

So any body have a clue what should be done so one can transcode videos with sound in 14.10. Openshot for example can set up vid just fine but when actually exporting there is no sound, sanme with Kdenlive.

Spent two days trying finally moved to my laptop which is running Mint KDE and worked fine. By the way also had kdenlive installed in 14.10, along with openshot, niether of which worked in 14.10 but both worked in Mint.

For reference at this point bcz for now will be using laptop to do vids.

    Thanks

Re: 14.10 major problems tarnscoding videos

Mint comes with restricted codecs, unlike ubuntu upon which it's based. Have you installed ubuntu-restricted-extras?

Beyond that, without knowing which mint version you use and what video/audio formats you're dealing with (you do have mediainfo-gui???) and whether it worked or not in previous ubuntu releases, there's not much anyone else can do to support you.
