Well my phone is picked up but it can't connect.

Any ideas? Appreciate the time your spending on this.
Edit: plugging my cable into another usb port device shows up as two phone shaped 'mpt' rather than two 'android' I can see my files and fastboot recognises my phone with no errors. However I still get the
couldn't find matching udev device
When first plugging in and phone is not listed in devices.
