So I just built a new computer and I have listed down the specs above. I installed archlinux as I was trying to get a minimal installation but was unable to get it to work, then i tried Ubuntu Server but couldn't get the graphics to work either. I gave up and went for the easiest solution which was the Ubuntu 14.10 iso. I installed it and graphics were working fine. But what's interesting enough between all the three distributions is that when my display goes to sleep, my computer crashes. I can't wake it from sleep and I have to turn off the power before I am able to "turn on" the computer again. Does anyone know why this is happening? I am thoroughly confused. Please let me know what logs I can provide to help someone solve this problem. If it's across three different distributions, can I assume it's something in the Linux Kernel?
