I can't find this anywhere in network-manager. But I feel this would be a good practice. I always use vpn when I'm on open wifi networks..
I'm on xubuntu 14.04 and use network manager to manage my connections.

I'm not sure if this can be done through network-manager, however you can tell network-manager to automatically connect to a vpn when you connect to certain wifi networks, as I have.Screenshot - 311014 - 13:30:16.png

Yeah,
I use that too. But I'd like to use vpn for all new connections maybe except a few. I'd rather like to have a checkbox for "don't automatically connect to vpn when using this connection!
Is there another way that is not network-manager?
