Did You check if there is anything available in that branch of that tree?
    For example: http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ubuntu/dists/ ...

I was wondering the same thing but then I reasoned that there is nothing say a new cycle repository can only be set up after the old cycle is completed. Do these new URLs bring in updates? There will not be much going on with Vivid right now anyway. But that does not necessarily mean that developers not directly involved with getting Utoptic out the door get a couple of weeks of doing nothing.

    Regards.

No . There is nothing except /devel/proposed .. but that is not the point. I just wanted an extra hdd set up and ready for when the toolchain is uploaded .

That is basically my point. I have so much extra hardware - so I just like to have an hdd ready for when that branch does open up .. and who knows .. it may come sooner than we expect.

Kind of running. Usual mixup trying to get password to sign in. Using USB because next has exactly the same iso name as utopic so booting off the hard drive won't work no way to distinguish them. So far Next, Utopic Unity, and Lubuntu all use the same iso name.

Browser is up full screen. How do I reduce the window size to get another window open?

For that matter, how to close the browser?

I guess the best part Next even ran, browser anyway to do these postings. Some time ago I couldn't get anywhere with MIR.

All of August and beginning of September Utopic Unity/compiz crashed trying to start the desktop on this Intel Core 2 Duo 3 gHz. Finally the bug bothered one of the key canonical people so Unity got fixed and compiz didn't crash.

We don't. I am not using Desktop Next at the moment. So, this is coming from memory. At the top right of the application window there is an icon of three horizontal lines. That has a menu which will let us open a new tab or show all our open tabs. That is how we switch tabs in Browser. I think.

I have yet to find a way of closing any application. I do not think that we do. We slide from the right to see a vertical stack of "surfaces", each with an application on it. We then select an already loaded application. I understand that once a surface is off screen the application on it gives up system resources.

    Regards.
