Ubuntu 14.04 LTS. I use "Wavecable" for my internet connection. They came out and put in a new modem today capable of 55 megs. I get 55 straight out of the modem. I am only getting 22 through the ethernet cable and a third of that wifi through the router. installed a new Western Digital router #N900. My computer is an older emachines ET1161. I also have a 2 year old HP Laptop with Win 8 and the results are the same on it more or less. The tech that came out said that he thought the router was holding the speed back. What do you think is holding my speed back?
