Boy, 2014 is becoming the Best Year Yet for Linux gamers, and the release of this rather ultimate shooter (or, as I've heard it described, first-person Diablo) is another reason why.

Also, Borderlands The Pre-Sequel! will be available Oct 17.

It's getting to the point where I'm getting choosy about which games I want to buy...and that's a Very Good Thing.

Counter Strike GO, i back on windows and restored and it worked fine with some 200 MB download. Done same for Borderlands 2, but for some reason, it says 9 GB Download. Borderlands 2 is one of my favorite game, i was waiting for Borderlands The Pre-Sequel to release. 2014 is great year for Linux Gaming, that too even before SteamOS release. 41 out of 147 games in my steam library is available on Linux now.

Now i need BioShock available on Linux, being 2k games, hope they will do it soon

Given Gabe Newell's antipathy toward M$, I find that pretty unlikely. Remember, one of the main reasons for GN's embrace of Linux was Windows 8, and GN's stated objections toward M$'s ambitions to make Windows an Apple-style "walled garden." It's pretty unlikely we'll see a Minecraft-like sale to M$.

I think Aspyr Media did a GREAT job on this port!!!! Although it doesn't run as high FPS in linux as it does on my same machine running Win7 I really can't tell the difference since my monitor is only 60Hz anyway. If i had a 144Hz panel I may be able to tell the difference. Aspyr Media commented within the steam discussion thread that the same performance difference between the win and linux versions would be the same for The Pre-Sequel as it currently is with Borderlands 2 but that didn't matter to me so I already pre-ordered it on gameagent.com. If you pre-order it thru gameagent.com you get 20% off AND you get a free dlc pack already. Something to point out is that when I purchased it, the digital download steam key said it was for Mac but I've already entered it within my Linux Steam client and it appeared to work just fine.

I just read about this. AMD really needs to improve their Linux drivers. Any Linux user who has an AMD APU is SOL until improvements are made.
