    Lexar USB pendrive bootability

    Hello,

I'm installing Xubuntu from a USB. I haven't tried anything yet, but my pendrive is a Lexar 16GB. I can't find Lexar on any of the bootability lists. Does anyone know whether it works?

    Thanks.

I use a Lexar 32GB USB 3.0 drive with a full Xubuntu install to go from machine to machine.

I'm talking about an actual installation, not a Live USB.

Your mileage may vary, of course.

    Re: Lexar USB pendrive bootability

    Hi QIII,

I'm trying to keep a current list of USB pendrives, but I have not tested any Lexar pendrive yet.

See this thread in the Tutorials forum, Howto help USB boot drives particularly posts #6 and #7

If you have the time, please tell us more details about bootability and test your Lexar pendrive speed according to this link http://phillw.net/isos/linux-tools/usb-speed-test/
