I have tablet prestigio multipad. It has slot for SIM card. I would like transfer it to Lubuntu. However can I make phone calls through Lubuntu with classic phone number (SIM card with phone number in SIM slot)?

My old phone is quickly dying and cannot buy another, but I still need a specific program that run just on a PC. That is way I need phone calls and tablet (or small pc) in 1.
