    Shut Down command causes reboot

When I Shut Down, the system always reboots.

    This problem is pervasive.
It occurs it on two different computers (different motherboard, CPU, SSD, etc.) on 14.04. Both have ASRock Z87 boards.
I just installed 14.04.1 on a brand new drive, and it STILL always reboots.

    This is extremely aggravating.
Every time I want to shut down, I must flip the power supply off to avoid reboot.

I am not a Linux expert. If the fix involves using Terminal, please give very detailed directions.

    Thanks

Re: Shut Down command causes reboot

How do you shut down? Clicking through the top right corner 'cog wheel' -> shutdown? Is there any difference if you sudo shutdown -now from terminal? I would guess that it's a bug, something to do with that ASRock board / power management, I don't know if there's a fix or workaround. I suggest you report this is a bug.
