Scanner not Working

I inquired about his issue in the Hardware forum but didn't get any solution to the problem. I have a Brother MFC7680DW multifunction printer, scanner, Fax. I have all the drivers installed, reset my Network, and when I try to scan I get, "Unable to connect to scanner". Any help will be much appreciated.

Have you installed from here:

and prior to this driver install done all these things 'below) where relevant and reboot before installing drivers

I have found the brother install instructions to work where the ubuntu repos installs dont.

yes, and have installed all the driver etc from Brother and verified their install.Should I have installed these driver pkgs with the USB plugged in? just a thought.I so then would have to uninstall then reinstall is that correct and if that's how it shuld be done what are the commands for removing the pkgs. My printer is a Brother MFC7860DW.

I also have a problem with a scanner that should be working, however it's not. I guess something is bugged. My scanner is an epson though. My thread is here.

Perhaps both of us have the same problem, even though we've different scanners..

Yes you should have had it plugged in to usb. I think you can just re run the brother install package without uninstalling first.

Brother says to uninstall the diver pkg and reinstall.
