    desktop.ini in the trash

I have 1 hard drive and split the partition in half, so I have Linux Ubuntu 14 LTS and Windows Vista.
my windows is infected with a virus that I can't seem to remove, but anyways when I load my Ubuntu
and every time I click on the windows hard disk to try see whats in there, I get some stuff in my Ubuntu trash
so I go view the trash and there thing call Desktop.ini and for some reason I can't seem to remove it until I
reboot my Ubuntu OS, is this part of the infection or is this normal?

It's just a text file that contains your customizations for viewing files. It's usually a hidden file so if you switch your folder options to hide hidden files it should disappear.
    Knock knock.
    Race condition.
