    Finalized UOS Date: 12th - 14th November 2014

    Daniel Holbach announces the finalized Ubuntu Online Summit dates. He highlights that this is not the usual Tuesday to Thursday summit, but instead a Wednesday to Friday one, to work-around Veterans Day in the United States.

    Over 170 Primary Schools In Geneva Switched To Ubuntu For Classroom Teaching

    Saurav Modak at The Mukt lets us know how over 170 primary and secondary schools in Geneva switched to Ubuntu for PCs used by teachers and students. This initiative started because the proprietary system they were using is no longer maintained, and it resulted easier for them to move to Ubuntu than to upgrade to a newer version of the system.
