60 or more percent of the time when I try to left click, my touchpad registers it as mouse movement and opens the recycle bin. Can you all help me relocate it to the top of the unity launcher plz??

IIRC, that can't be done by default. You may find some additional software that allows you to do what you want.
But I can't understand why your touchpad behaves as it does.
