I've only attempted to answer 3 posts as I am a newbie and just signed up. When I go to search with my userid it shows 4 posts, one of which is old. Does anyone know why?

Thread moved to Forum Feedback & Help.
I see 4 posts of yours, oldest one being 17h ago probably by the time you joined. Are you saying you did not post these ?

Prior to this post, I see three only.
Two at 17 hours ago and one at 10 hours ago.
What is the "old" one?

This universe is crazy. I'm going back to my own.
Did you do an advanced search? If you don't tick the "Exact Name" box, the search will include usernames which include the string which is your username. For example, an advanced search for username dave131, without ticking the Exact Name box, yields 5 results at the moment, your 4 posts, and a post from 2008 from user dave1314.
If you want a listing of your posts only, simply click on your own username at the top of the page to get your profile page, and then "Find latest posts" or The My Activity tab and click on your own username tab.

It's indelibly engraved on my memory. I did an advanced search the other day for a user's posts whose username is only about 3-4 characters long and which is contained in 1000's of other usernames. I only realised I'd forgotten to tick the box when the list of usernames in the search results took up most of the page. I won't make that mistake very often.

Yeah
I usually go to the user page and work from there (even if I have to cheat getting the userid )
