    EU3 graphics problem

I'm trying to run the game Europa Universalis 3 Complete on Ubuntu 14.04 LTS, using PlayOnLinux.

My graphics card is nVidia, and I use the proprietary driver nvidia-340.

    The procedure is as follows:
    1. Create a new POL drive for this game,
    2. Install d3dx9_36 (without it the game doesn't start),
    3. Install the game,
    4. Run the game.

According to the WineHQ, it should work.

The games starts, and I'm able to play. The only problem is graphics: here are some screenshots.

Any idea on how to fix it?

I tried to use the nouveau driver, but without any results.
I tried to use various wine versions (1.17.x), both 32-bit and 64-bit, no results.

could it be direct x version fault? I saw something similar on windows xp (borders messed up) and specific ATI card. only there borders looked line vertical lines.
Read the easy to understand, lots of pics Ubuntu manual.
Do i need antivirus/firewall in linux?
Full disk backup (newer kernel -> suitable for newer PC): Clonezilla
User friendly full disk backup: Rescuezilla
