Ubuntu vs. Arch - what do you like about each, and which do you prefer?
Ubuntu got me started on Linux, and I value its stability (well, most of the time ) and ease of use. Believe it or not, I also like Unity. Quite apart from that, I love the community spirit that surrounds it. However, I recently discovered Arch, and having installed it on an old laptop for test purposes, I find myself liking it more and more. Although it is a lot more work to set up, I like the total control that it gives you over your system (apart from the fact that I enjoy tinkering around anyway). And though the forum may not be quite as friendly as this one, the Arch wiki is absolute first class for documentation. I don't think I'll switch my main system over all that soon, but I was just wondering what others here think about Arch and Ubuntu in comparison?
