Bios update Dell studio 1558

Hi there guys,

first time posting something on this forum. I hope the problem is getting fixed.
I read many manuals on this forum about updating ur bios in linux. It's necassary that i do it now but it don't work... Maybe somebody can help me & find the fault.

* I downloaded (on a windows PC) the bios update for my Linux PC. (R301434.EXE).

* I extracted this .EXE - file & get 3 items :

1. 1558_A12.EXE
2. version.txt
3. Win_1194.EXE

* With Rufus 1.4.9.506 , i made a bootable FreeDos-USB.

* Copied the 4 files (from step 1&2) on my USB.

* I booted from my freeDos-USB, when i try to open R301434.EXE OR 1558_A12.EXE. He say i can't open it in DOS-mode. & From then i stuck?

What are sollutions ? How can i go farther. I need to update my bios fast! Hope sombody can help me!
