Angry random audio while on Firefox

    Hi Ubuntu Community:

Every once in a while I hear a snippet of random audio while I'm using Firefox. Thesnippet is just a fraction of a second... perhaps 1/2 second.

The audio can be anything... spoken voice like on a you tube instructional, or music.

    This behavior makes me concerned.

What is this random audio, and how to I get ride of it??

    Thanks,
    Old Jimma

That is strange. What kind of addons do you have installed?

I'd also recommend creating a new Firefox profile:
    Code:
    mv .mozilla .mozillaold
This will move your current Firefox profile to .mozillaold and whenever you start up Firefox again it'll make a new one.

Some sites have automatic audio or audio that starts upon mouse hover , but I'm not sure why it would start and then stop unless the audio starts before the blocker detects the source or it is hover activated .
