    Is there a way to use the unity terminal in KDE?

    I haven't found anything wrong from the usability side of KDE's "Konsole," but I honestly don't like how it looks. Is there some way to port the unity terminal into kde?

    Try installing gnome-terminal from kubuntu's package manager. It will pull in it's gnome dependencies.

    Gnome-terminal isn't listed in Kubuntu's package manager.

    Try Synaptic package manager.

    Whats does this show. By the way I dont have any kubuntu install and kubuntu doesn't have a list of packages like ubuntu does. Unless someone knows. e'g. http://packages.ubuntu.com/

    Code:
    apt-cache policy gnome-terminal

    I think you'll find it is.

    I'm using Kubuntu 14.04 and it is definitely listed in Muon Package Manager. There are two packages that you need to install gnome-terminal and gnome-terminal-data.

    Which package manager are you using?

    Then use konsole one last time to install it:
    Code:
    sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install gnome-terminal
    Just out of curiosity, what is it you don't like about konsole's looks? It can be configured almost any way you want.

    In Kubuntu they use muon, which is very similar to synaptic and preinstalled.

    Is that KDE specific? I would check that out if it didn't pull in any KDE dependencies.
