We recently have had a series of maintenance updates for Ubuntu 10.04 server edition that broke 10.04 desktops. Such situation will likely reoccur as the 10.04 desktop edition has reached End Of Life on May 09 - 2013.

We highly recommend you upgrade to a supported release.

For old computers with lower specifications, you may :
