    sound problem between 12.04 and 14.04

    I have soundblaster sound card and two systems on one PC: 12.04 and 14.04. 12.04 plays sound well through both channels but 14.04 only plays left channel. The same hardware - different behavior. Could I get some help?

    Have you checked the levels in the mixer? Perhaps, for whatever reason, 14.04 defaults to right volume all the way down on that card.
