Question Sega genesis controllers with usb adapter in xubuntu?

    Dear all,

I have some genesis controllers lying around and I was thinking about going old school with some

emulator on my xubuntu machine. So, I found this on amazon:

    http://www.amazon.com/Retro-Bit-Gene...controller+usb

Do you think that should work? If you have any experiences or guess about this, I'd be glad to

    know.

    Thanks a lot in advance..

Re: Sega genesis controllers with usb adapter in xubuntu?

First off, I've moved this thread to Emulators.
Where others who would know more about how to use that would more likely find it.

Second, I don't use that controller, but have a similar setup for my PS2 controller, and, aside from some initial tweaking per emulator controls, works perfectly.
So I don't see any major problems.
Of course like I said, don't have those controllers, so don't know what to expect.

Don't mind me, I'm only passing through.

Judging by the customer reviews below your link gtzanakis Linux has trouble reading some inputs. This may have been corrected in a kernel update or it may not. To be honest there are plenty of gamepads that can recreate your genesis experience just as well and work well within Linux.
