How to stop display from dimming in Xu 14.04 when on battery mode

Loving 14.04 atm but I'm having an issue where whenever I change from active power to my battery my display intensly dims. I've played with almost all the settings within the xfce power manager GUI within the settings panel. Is there someone else this setting is at or do i just need to change an actually .conf file. Any help will be appreciated

My 14.04 is a fresh install so I almost 100% positive this is operator error .

You need the Power Manager. In there, you should find an option which says 'Dim screen when inactive for ...' and a slider underneath (or similar). In my install it is under 'On AC>Monitor tab, but using 12.04 at the moment so sorry can't be more specific. See how you go ...
