Hi all, I've done some Googling around to try and fix this issue I'm having but all of the threads I've found are pretty outdated.
My laptop is having an issue waking from suspend. I have the system set to suspend when the lid is closed, and the laptop will suspend just fine - and if I open it back up again after a short amount of time, it will wake back up without issue.
However, the problem seems to occur when I leave the laptop overnight. Usually, I'll close the laptop, plug it in, and leave it on the charger all night. When I get up in the morning, I unplug the laptop and put it in my bag. Later on when I open it up, the fan turns on, the wifi indicator light turns on, and the backlight turns on, but nothing actually happens on the screen. Pressing Ctrl+Alt+F1-7 does nothing, and I end up having to do a hard reset on the thing to get it to turn back on.
The laptop has an AMD graphics chip and I'm running the fglrx-updates driver. It's the only driver that actually gives some decent performance while still working (the open source driver is horribly slow, while fglrx crashes the X server).
