Longer time for "Screen Lock" only 1hour?

Longer time for "Screen Lock" only 1hour? I use system settings, and I only see an option to turn the screen off after 1 hour (using Laptop) -Using Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Is there any way that I can extend this to a longer time? With either conf files, GUI, another app? Please and thank you for your help. -If you need more info, please feel free to ask. Thanks, NiVeK

    I Googled:
change screen lock settings how to ubuntu
I found a thread on AskUbuntu question which reads, "How do I change the length of time the lock screen appears for?"

    From the answer section:
Press the windows button to get the unity search, then type lock in the search bar. Open brightness and lock and change the timeout.
    Hope this helps.
    My rig:
    IBM Personal System/2 Model 30-286 - - Intel 80286 (16 bit) 10 Mhz - - 1MB DRAM - - Integrated VGA Display adapter
1.44MB capacity Floppy Disk - - PS/2 keyboard (no mouse)

Thanks bud, I tried it before and then gave up on the config window, I'm going to switch the settings there to enable lock, then switch it back, see if it helps. I'll let you know in a few.

Thanks again for responding Drone4four !!!

    Drone4four

Thanks for your help, it worked!

Seems the "Brightness/Lock" settings may have been conflicting with the "Power' settings.

Thanks again for solving the problem.

Oops, sorry- didn't work. What I actually need is to extend the time to lock passed 1 hour. It only allows up to one hour, I'd like something more like 5+ hours.
