If these are the specifications then nothing, sorry. If it takes a maximum of 256 MB of memory then you won't get much joy from it.
If you put an ad in the newspaper I guess people would give away stronger hardware for free.

puppy or damn small might work. a friend had puppy running on an old fujitsu with 64 mb of ram. dont know how well .

+1 for Puppy, but those are some pretty tight specs for a modern OS. You'll need to upgrade that RAM to 256Mb, but even then it's going to be sluggish. If you really need to keep things to a minimum, then perhaps Arch might be better. Good luck in getting that installed...
