    14.04 install

all went well and I installed everything but now I get this error whenever I try to run any program using admin or sudo. I have googled a bit but no answers.

You're sure you installed the desktop and not the server? No X server is running. Check /var/log/Xorg.0.log for errors starting the server if you are actually on a desktop.

got that fixed now can't install an exe in wine getting the error on attached screenshot. Permissions are correct and file has executed fine on several other xubuntu 14.04 setups I even reinstalled wine to no effectScreenshot - 05072014 - 09:17:42 PM.png

How did you manage to get this fixed? I'm getting this error now. For wine questions you should try winehq especially for the specific app.
