Do you use (X,K,L)Ubuntu as your one an only OS?

    Hi,

The title says it all, do you use Ubuntu (or Xubuntu, Kubuntu, Lubuntu, U-Gnome) as your one and only operating system? I've settled on Xubuntu for my Asus laptop AMD vision proc, 4GB RAM and 320 GB hdd and to have more edge than Ubuntu with Unity and it work decently. No more need of Windows!

    Just being curious!

I use Xubuntu as my only OS on my main home PC. I've few others on test PC's but those change quite a lot and I'm not really careful with them to keep stable enough in long run.

On machines with enough horsepower I run Kubuntu. On weaker machines I run L/Xubuntu. On servers I run CentOS. My Kubuntu desktop has a VirtualBox installation with a Win7 virtual machine just in case. Comes in handy if you do your own taxes or use something like MS Access once in a while.

Yes. Three laptops, all Kubuntu. Two 14.04, one 13.10 but soon to be upgraded to 14.04.

KDE is the only desktop environment that really works for me and it's been that way for a few years now.

No, I use several other Linux distributions as well. No Windows at home, though.

Yes, it's all *ubuntu here on all machines except tablets with Android.

Mainly Xubuntu 12.04 (soon to be 14.04), but also Lubuntu 14.04 on an oldish netbook.

I haven't actually used windows here for years, though have just had to install XP in VirtualBox in order to update a satnav machine which can only be done in windows. I am now rather lost when trying to find my way round XP!
